Corn milling lines are used in a wide range of applications involving food processing, feed production, brewing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and many other fields:

I. Food Processing Industry

Staple Food Products

Cornmeal: used to make traditional foods such as nests, corn cakes, hair cakes, pancakes and so on.

Corn grits: used for porridge (such as corn ballast porridge) or processed into instant food products.

Corn Noodles: mixed with wheat flour to make corn noodles, instant noodles, etc.

Casual food

Puffed food: cornmeal extruded and puffed into potato chips, shrimp sticks and other snacks.

Popcorn: special corn varieties milled and processed into pre-packaged popcorn raw materials.

Deep processing raw materials

Starch extraction: corn starch is extracted through wet process after grinding and used to make syrup, monosodium glutamate and so on.

Premixed powder: cornmeal is mixed with soybean flour and miscellaneous grain flour to make nutrient-fortified powder

II. Feed Industry

Livestock and Poultry Feed

Basic energy raw materials: cornmeal provides carbohydrates, accounting for up to 50%-70% (e.g. pig and chicken feed).

Pellet feed binder: fine cornmeal enhances feed molding.

Aquatic feed

Floating feed: puffed cornmeal improves the floating rate of feed.

Specialty feed

De-embryonic cornmeal is used in pet feed to reduce fat content and prolong shelf life.

C. Brewing and fermentation industry

White wine brewing

Cornstarch is used as the main raw material (e.g. northern clear liquor), which is distilled after saccharification and fermentation.

Degerminated cornmeal can reduce the effect of oil and grease on the quality of wine.

Alcohol production

Cornmeal is liquefied, saccharified and then fermented to produce fuel ethanol or medical alcohol.

Beer auxiliaries

Partially replace malt, reduce cost (need to match with enzyme preparation).

IV. Other Applications

Industrial Uses

Adhesive: cornstarch is processed into environmentally friendly glue for carton and wood bonding.

Biodegradable materials: mixed with PLA to produce bio-based plastics.

Family and Catering

Direct supply to the catering industry for making corn thick soup, corn paste, etc.

Household small package cornstarch (e.g. 1kg/bag) for retail market.
